1. Foot Locker Scholar Athletes Program
This scholarship award is $20,000, open to U.S. high school seniors currently involved in high school or after-school sports with a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. The scholarship will be distributed in four equal, annual installments to its 20 eligible recipients. One scholarship winner will be selected to receive the Ken C. 2. Ann Liguori Foundation Sports Media Scholarship
This scholarship is available for upper-class undergraduate women majoring in communications or journalism, hoping to pursue a career in sports broadcasting, reporting, programming, or production in a related field. Applicants must be at least a rising junior who resides in Connecticut, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, or New York, and must demonstrate actual participation in athletics and sports. 3. Pride Foundation Varsity Athletics Scholarship
This award is available for U.S. citizens who have been living in Washington state, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, or Alaska for at least one year. Applicants must have experience in participatory athletics preferably at the varsity level. Preference is given to self-identified LGBT students, members of LGBT families, and straight allies who have been supportive of the LGBT community. 4. Daniella Altfield-Moreno Scholarship
This scholarship is available for Latino/Latina youth under age 25 with a preference for students involved in athletics and students committed to LGBT equality. The monetary award amount and number of recipients annually varies and is determined by the scholarship provider. Generally, scholarships offered through the foundation are a minimum of $500 to a maximum of $12,000, and the average award amount per recipient last year was over $4,000. This scholarship is currently available to high school seniors in Pinellas County who have a grade point average between 2.0 and 3.0. Sponsored by the Halley Family, in memory of Tom E. Halley & Carl W. Parks, this scholarship is awarded each year to a high school student who demonstrates average academic performance, but exceptional commitments to community service, athletic participation, or private employment. 6. Lynch Family Legacy Scholarship (Hillsborough)
In 1998 John and Linda Lynch established the Lynch Family Legacy Scholarships to benefit student-athletes. Through this scholarship program, the Lynch family provides financial assistance for high school senior student-athletes in the Tampa Bay and Denver areas to apply towards tuition at the college of their choice. 7. Edward Louis Flom Memorial HCC Scholarship
This volleyball scholarship is currently available for high school seniors in Hillsborough County, Florida who are planning to attend Hillsborough Community College. Applicants must participate in a sports team and have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher. Provided in honor of Edward Louis Flom, this scholarship is awarded each year to a high school senior in Hillsborough county, applicants qualify for free or reduced school lunches. 8. Donald S. Groves Scholarship Fund
This scholarship award is for U.S. high seniors graduating from Nicholas County High School who are athletes and current residents of West Virginia. The applicant must have a 2.5-grade point average or higher and an ACT score of 20 or higher to be eligible. Students may only receive one scholarship per year from TGKVF, the applicant will be notified by TGKVF by May 15. 9. Margaret Parsons ‘Porky’ Moss Scholarship Fund
This is one of the Volleyball Scholarships in USA. Students may only receive one scholarship per year from TGKVF. The applicant will be notified by TGKVF by May 15. The foundation will mail the full amount of the award in August. It is applied to the entire academic year. The check is payable jointly to the recipient and the college but is mailed directly to the recipient. Any student who withdraws from school for any reason will be expected to notify the foundation of his/her status and refund any unused, refundable portion of the scholarship. In addition to other requirements, the applicant must also demonstrate good moral character and financial need. 10. Arthur W. Elder, II Scholarship
This scholarship is currently available for high school seniors in Baltimore with a grade point average of 2.5 or higher, although preference will be given to students who are active in athletics or other extracurricular activities, as well as students at Heritage High School. Provided by the Baltimore Community Foundation in memory of Arthur W. Elder II, a 1974 graduate of the former Lake Clifton High School, this scholarship is provided each year to a student who may not have lived up to his or her full potential in high school, but who wishes to pursue higher education.
